Why is the "Close Episode of Care" checkbox not available?
The checkbox will not be available if there are encounters from other MDT members that still require follow-ups, or if follow-ups or referrals are required for this encounter. Review existing encounters with other providers and discuss appropriateness of closing the episode of care.
